All portraits are custom-made and hand-painted onto luxury duck cotton canvases (a type of linen) using premium Winsor & Newton Oils.

It's so easy, simply email or post us your favourite photograph of your family or loved ones that you would like to have immortalised in oils with any suggestions that you may have and we'll do the rest.
All our portraits are made-to-measure and can be custom made to your specifications. Portraits can be painted in a variety of styles, anything from impressionist to realism portraits.
Whether you send in photographs of children, partners or family members, we'll lovingly hand-paint your portrait for you, for you to give to that someone special for that special occasion.
The whole process of commissioning a portrait couldn't be easier. Simply post or email your chosen photograph to hello@period-art.com with the dimensions you're thinking of and we'll do the rest. Once completed, we will send you a photograph of the completed portrait for your approval. Should you wish to make any alterations, no matter how slight, your artist will be happy to do so. We want you and your recepient to be thrilled with your painting!
